  15. Awe! We had a similar look with our 3-year-old not too long ago. Everywhere we went, everyone asked us what happened to him. We couldn't imagine another child looking like that. Then we went to church this past Sunday, and we saw a little girl with a black eye that just made our son's not look so bad. Hope he heals soon!

    He should be on a T-Shirt to remind us that with all that he can muster a smile.

    The bruises of our past give us character, and despite it all, the triumphant ones still smile.

    Frame that one, to remind him every day that he can make it through anything.
