The first time I tried blogging was a couple of years ago. I got as far as three posts... I never deleted it though.
I liked the name Mikey's Wife
I finally decided that I would use it as my "photo blog". I will use it for the Photo Challenges and just to share pictures that I take, but not really for updates about our family, like this one.
I started off with going back through a few of my favorite old pictures -- I have a lot -- or I should say, all my favorite old digital pics and some that have been scanned.
I am not even close to being caught up to present day ~
But you can still come by check them out!

belonging to a Tribe

I have had a Twitter account for a couple of years, but honestly, I never really used it all that much. When I started blogging at the beginning of the year, I linked it all up -- because I have to have everything all linked up and together
(come on, you know I am just like that)
Because of my new blog, I ended up giving up on my Facebook games and spending more time on Twitter, where I heard about Triberr.
Triberr is basically a service that allows you to use the Twitter accounts of your friends, to promote your blog.

"Every time you publish a new post, everyone in your tribe will tweet it to their followers. And you do the same for everyone in your tribe."

Automatically.

Oh, but you can't just join. You need an invitation.

Jen over at Life With Levi wrote a post about Triberr and also extended an invitation to her Tribe.
Well Triberr ends up being a pretty cool thing!
I don't have as many followers as other people in my Tribe, but with everyone else in the Tribe combined, my blog posts have the potential to reach 5,950 followers.

When you join, you also get to be the Chief of your own Tribe.

Ah-ha!

So, since I have my own Tribe -- just sad and empty, sitting around with just me in it...
I thought I would extend an invitation of my own to anyone that is interested.

I believe that being kind to the people in your family is important. I just don't understand it when someone is nicer or more polite to the store clerk than their husband or even their children. I also don't think you should be obligated to care about someone just because "they are family". If they are not a nice person, why have a relationship with them?

Paige has been wanting to "blog too" but couldn't decide what she wanted to blog about.

Have you dealt with a 13 year old girl yet?

She is constantly trying to tell me about the book she is reading. I am sure some of them are good books, and I may get around to reading some of them, but really, I've read my vampire books.
The Vampire Lestat cannot be compared to  Vampire Academy regardless of what my enthusiastic teen thinks.

She did ask me to read The Hunger Games,   

which I loved!

Paige's bedroom is surrounded by windows. Mike and I found these great markers that are for drawing on windows and thought they'd be fun for her. She loved them -- and wrote her name (and hearts, and flowers) and book quotes on all over them.

Aaaaah! As I am trying to write this, she is all, "Mama. In my book -- blah, blah, blah"

Well yesterday after she send me another text, quoting another book, I suggested a blog with book quotes. So she came up with this --

It's great!
All it is is a place to list your blog so others can see it, but it is so well organized -- and I think it'll become a great place to find new people to read.
